Frequently Asked Questions

Who comes to NCNC Camps?

Beautiful, curious, and open-minded individuals come and co-create our adventure together!

Our community welcomes a vibrant mix of people: newcomers exploring camps, workshops, or retreats for the first time; individuals and couples eager to dive deep and gain fresh perspectives; seasoned attendees who have embraced this journey for years; and inspired souls seeking the freedom to thrive and fully express themselves within a sex-positive environment.

Our ages range from late 20s to late 80s, with the bulk of us being 40+.  Most campers have been on a personal growth journey of some kind for years.  And the majority of participants practice open sensuality and/or sexuality within a framework of ethical consent and transparency.

What are NCNC Camps like?

Connection, Connection, Connection!

At the heart of the Camp experience lies the joy of relating! Each morning, we gather as a community to practice conscious connection through movement, meaningful communication, stimulating discussions, and, of course, light-hearted laughter and play.

A key part of our time together is the daily ZEGG Forum, a space designed to uncover what is alive but not yet shared. The community sits in a circle, creating a stage where one person at a time steps forward to share their truth. Facilitators support deeper self-expression, and afterward, others may offer thoughtful reflections.

Beyond the Forum, Camp offers a rich variety of experiences: presentations and workshops, dances, a talent show, an auction, and the opportunity to explore the Erotic Temple, a sensual and sacred space.

Camp is all about choice. You’re free to engage fully—attend workshops, participate in the Forum, or visit the Temple—or you may simply relax, lounge, and connect with others. Whether you’re meeting new friends or deepening existing relationships, your experience is yours to shape and enjoy.

Sensuality and Sexuality

(1) Some programming will be polysensual, i.e., the program will offer opportunity to interact with all genders, sometimes in a sensual manner.

(2) Boundaries are to be respected and each participant is responsible for setting and communicating their own boundaries, as well as respecting the boundaries of others.

(3) Physical touch is a common way of expressing affection.  You will observe others in close physical contact regardless of their sexual interest or relationship status.  You are at choice in all things and are to be self-responsible for communicating your choices when they impact others.  You are responsible for asking before touching someone who has not given permission, even though you may observe them interacting physically with others.  Having a re-check-in with anyone with whom you have pre-existing agreements is encouraged. You are not welcome to touch someone before you have clear permission from them.

(4) Sexuality is most often observed and expressed in the Temple space, which is a separate structure.  Participation is optional.  Many participants never see the inside of the Temple and have a complete and wonderful experience in this community.  If one chooses to enter the Temple, there is no certainty of sexual exploration with others.

(5) All sexual orientations/explorations and relationship choices are welcome and to be respected.

Joyful Roles

New Culture camps are entirely community-led and fueled by Love in Action!  All campers will be asked to contribute to make camps flow with ease.  This may include food prep, cleaning up, tidying spaces, facilitating community time, making music, etc.

It can be a joyful experience to work and play together. When you give with a playful spirit, work can easily become play!

Auction and Talent Show

Auction to Support the Scholarship Fund
Nearly ¼ of campers get some kind of financial support to attend camp.  Please be thinking of goods and/or services you can donate to the Auction.   Think service and/or fun for any age–but not garage-sale-type items.  If you have a physical item to donate, please bring a high quality item with a starting bid of at least $40.

The auction is near the end of camp, so if you are donating a non-physical item that can be claimed in the future, that would be ideal.  Example: an online session of some service you provide, a retreat visit to your home, an in person offering in the Bay Area, etc.

No Silent Auction

Talent Show
Bring your instrument and/or voice and/or body and/or other entertaining aspect of yourself to share in the Talent Show.  Each person is typically allowed 3-4 minutes per act, with a limit of one act per person (you may also be in a group act where you are not the lead).  We appreciate you spending some time practicing your act to be sure it, along with any introductory words you may have, are no more than 4 minutes, but we will allow some grace time at the discretion of the MC.  No need to plan time for applause, we’ll do that for you!

Food

Camp offers meals and snacks featuring both omnivore and vegetarian options.

Packing

We suggest to bring the following:

Flashlight

Pen and paper

Earplugs: People snore and can be close by, so you may want these.

Item(s) or Services to donate in Auction - No silent auction!  Items for auction should retail for over $40.

Props, music, costumes, etc. for your talent show act

Personal comfort food/snacks

If tenting, a ground cloth is suggested.

Clothing is optional at camp…however, please bring clothes to go along with your birthday suit and be prepared to throw on a sarong while in the food line or sitting down in shared areas. You'll likely appreciate some warm clothes for the typically cool mornings and nights. Think layers.

Costumes or fun or dressy clothing for the talent night.  No costumes are provided, so BYOC ; )

Shoes that are easy to take on/off.  We have a ‘no shoes’ policy in the main spaces. If you worry that your feet will be cold, bring shoes/slippers/socks to dedicate to indoor usage.

Fragrance-Free products and/or small containers to fill from camp supplies for personal use. We have a number of campers who are very sensitive to fragrances.

Musical instruments, if you wish to join in music making

TOWELS - Everyone needs to bring towels.

Safer sex supplies, i.e., condoms.  We do not provide condoms.  We ask the community to be co-responsible for the supplies they may need.  We do provide some lubricants and coconut oil, but we appreciate it if you can bring your own.

2 Extra COVID tests just in case!

Sheets…please bring a few sets of sheets for your personal temple use.  We will have some available for the main temple space, but want to greatly reduce the amount of laundry to be done (and the 2 Tiny Temple cabins will NOT have extra sheets) so if you can, bring your own sheets and/or reuse temple sheets through the week if you and your partner(s) feel safe doing so.

Personal water bottle and/or beverage container with a lid, labeled with your name.

Something for the auction: Think service and/or fun for any age–but not garage-sale-type items. The auction is our main funding source for the scholarship fund and all proceeds go directly to campers who need financial support to attend.

Please ensure any other products you bring are fragrance-free.

Please LABEL anything you bring which you want to be sure to get home with.  Taking a picture with your phone of what you are going to bring can be a very helpful reference when packing up to go home.

Carpooling

We offer a rideshare signup for those looking to offer or find rides to and from the event. While we can’t guarantee arrangements, things usually come together smoothly!

Drugs and Alcohol

NCNC camps are drug- and alcohol-free events. We aim to create a clear, conscious, and connected environment where everyone can fully engage and thrive. We ask that you help us create this kind of space by leaving non-prescribed substances at home. Many thanks!

Wellness Policy

We will ask folks to show a dated photo or physical rapid test upon arrival. Please avoid large groups and if traveling, wear a quality mask. If you are experiencing or have been exposed to anything potentially contagious, please opt out. We will refund as much as possible for wellness cancellations.
